My concentration of work is in mixed media pieces, art quilts and art dolls. I love experimenting and learning new methods and materials. My work has been published in Art Doll Quarterly, shown in galleries/art centers, and commisioned. I originally studied Ceramics and have a B.F.A. from Tyler Schol of Art in Philadelphia. Made a quilt
Here is a picture of a quilt that I made as a gift. It's very homespun sort of thing- made pillowcase style and tied with embroidery floss. I wanted to make something bright and cheery and I'm pleased with the result. My cat seemed to like it too. As soon as I laid it out on the floor, she had to test it out!

Love the colors, great for a gray winters day, brightens everything up!!
Thanks Mary Louisa! Yes, it really is fun to sew with bright fabrics this time of year! I had so much fun making that quilt, I'm planning my next one. Fun to look at the different patterns in books and online. I just may turn into a quilter.
Love it, Susan. It's been said: a quilt is finished when a cat sleeps on it. I agree.
